QuickBooks Online released a feature called Automated Sales Tax. This feature automatically assigns where your sales tax should go and replaces the Manual Process. Automatic Sales Tax can be turned on, but not turned off. It's enabled by default on all new QuickBooks Online accounts. If you would like to turn on Automated Sales Tax follow Intuit's directions here.
If you have Automated Sales Tax enabled, Gozynta Mobius will no longer try to copy the tax codes (tax agencies) that taxes are being collected for from ConnectWise PSA to QuickBooks Online. We will just copy the tax amount from the ConnectWise PSA invoice to the QuickBooks Online invoice. The tax amount will show up in the Sales Tax line on the invoice and will be recalculated by QuickBooks Online (so your tax calculations in QuickBooks Online need to be correct.) QuickBooks Online will decide which tax agencies to map the taxes to. Gozynta Mobius populates the "ShipTo" address on the invoice if that data is in ConnectWise PSA. QuickBooks Online uses the "ShipTo" address, or the "Location of Sale" address to figure out tax agencies. We don't currently modify "Location of Sale."

Prior to this change, there were problems with the first invoice that was created in a new tax agency. You couldn't map the tax codes because they didn't exist in QuickBooks yet. So you would have to manually create an invoice in QuickBooks for that tax agency, then do the mapping in Gozynta Mobius, then you could send over the invoice. This was adequate if you only had a few tax agencies, but in some parts of the country, there are many to deal with. This will solve that problem.
Note that QuickBooks does not allow the transfer of taxes with Purchase Orders. However, you can bypass this by enabling the taxes as line items module in Gozynta Mobius.
